Since April 2018 Matthias Braun has been Director of the building division and head of central functions in OBERMEYER Gebäudeplanung GmbH & Co. KG.
After graduating in structural engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich, and until he joined the OBERMEYER Group, Matthias worked for property developers, responsible for the implementation of construction projects in Germany and abroad.
From 2007, he built up the ‘security & protection design’ division and developed overall design solutions in relation to national and international projects. Since 2013, he has also been responsible for the all structural projects right across the Group. In 2016, when he assumed the post of ‘Head of Production & Development’, following the company tradition in relation to digitalisation, he implemented BIM & GIS methods in overall design projects and developed these up to the current design standards of OBERMEYER.
His goal was and still is to speed up the digitalisation of design and supervision services in order to guide our design teams by the automation and digital support, to achieve the creativity and flexibility required for a bespoke design and engineering service .
