OBERMEYER expands market position in the Czech Republic
OBEREYER HELIKA and CASUA have been successfully established on the Czech market for more than 30 years: In 1991, the two managing directors of CASUA, architect Oleg Haman and engineer Aleš Poděbrad, founded the planning office, which currently employs more than 70 specialists. "Over the past decades, we have managed to build a strong brand whose name and position on the Czech market should be secured in the future. We are confident that the fusion with the OBERMEYER Group and the resulting synergies will offer many opportunities for further development," said the CASUA managing directors.
HELIKA was founded in 1990. Since 2007 it is part of the OBERMEYER Group. Today it is one of the largest and most established architecture, planning and construction consulting companies in the Czech Republic. With about 100 employees HELIKA is a leader in the field of 3D planning and the BIM construction modeling system on the Czech and Slovak markets.
To remain economically successful and to be prepared for the future, OBERMEYER wants to expand its market position with CASUA. "The Czech market is currently very competitive, organic growth is enormously challenging and important. Therefore, we have decided to acquire 100% of the business shares of CASUA. With Jiří Fousek and Pavel Boš as board members of OBERMEYER HELIKA, and with Aleš Poděbrad and Oleg Haman as managing directors of the future HELIKA subsidiary CASUA, we have an experienced and highly motivated management, which together with its teams is prepared for the future", says Jens Ulrich, Managing Director of the OBERMEYER Group.
Future planning: implementation of digital methods across the board
"Together with CASUA, OBERMEYER HELIKA will succeed in significantly shaping the Czech market by driving digital construction planning right to the forefront through the comprehensive implementation of Building Information Modeling," adds Maximilian Grauvogl, sole shareholder of the OBERMEYER Group.
Jiří Fousek, CEO of OBERMEYER HELIKA, agrees: Currently the most important challenge is to continuously change the way buildings are planned by the complex use of 3D methods and BIM technology. These advanced, transparent methods allow us to go beyond the actual planning and also calculate costs, deadlines and as a result the subsequent operation.”
The fact that it is easier for larger and financially strong companies to implement these innovative planning processes across the board is a key reason for the acquisition of CASUA. "We believe that the synergy of this alliance will benefit not only both companies, but also the entire construction industry and its modernization", says Pavel Boš, CEO of OBERMEYER HELIKA.
The OBERMEYER Group is one of the largest independent German planning companies and has been an expert in overall planning and qualified specialist planning for more than 60 years.
