Jewish Hospital, Berlin

Finalisation in 2024

Client
Jewish Hospital, Berlin, Civil Law Foundation [Stiftung bürgerlichen Rechts]

Location
Berlin, DE

The new-build of this hospital, with its early-stage neurological rehabilitation, functional diagnostics and six somatic care stations as well as all the building services technology in the basement, creates economically viable sizes of station to a modern medical and healthcare standard. This new-build will assure continuous operation of the hospital, even during the complete refurbishment of the existing building with outpatients, a clinical doctor service, functional diagnostics, endoscopy, surgery, psychiatry etc. at all times. In terms of overall planning, this achieves an improvement at an operational and technical level while also modernising the somewhat cramped and confined conditions.

Completion of the phases of this building project is being achieved through a closely coordinated and complex operation, arranged in stages, during ongoing operations without even a single function area getting shut down fully at any point.

The scope of services provided by OBERMEYER includes planning of construction work, from advance planning through to documentation.
Planning involved integration of all sectoral planning with the BIM method and is one of the few projects of this kind in Germany to be getting planned entirely - from definition of fundamentals through to facility management - using the BIM method.
