Petrolchemie und Kraftstoffe GmbH PCK in Schwedt/Oder is one of Germany’s largest raw material processing locations. In March 2016, after ten months of construction work on the PCK site, the new pressure-tight and explosion-protected measuring station was completed. It is the main control centre for this industrial site, extending over approx. 13 km².

Within six months, as Chief Planner, OBERMEYER completed the building planning as well as the structural planning, planning of technical equipment as well as fire safety planning across all phases of the project. A special focus was on safety planning to protect the measuring station against explosions.

To create as pleasant a working atmosphere as possible with the employees in this windowless structure, a lighting concept was devised in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute and Lichtvision Design that uses LED ceiling lighting to simulate prevailing weather conditions.
