Water supply Klais-Kranzbach-Elmau

Project duration from 2014 to 2015

Client
Municipality of Krün

Location
Krün, DE

For the G7 summit in Elmau in June 2015, the hotels in Elmau and Kranzbach were connected to public supply and disposal facilities. The project had to be planned and accomplished within one year.

To ensure water supply, the basement of the Klais elevated tank was extended to be able to install a pressure boosting system. In addition, a two-chamber elevated tank was built in GRP (=glass fibre plastic) prefabricated construction. A process control system controls and displays the processes in the new and existing water supply facilities.

Wastewater is discharged by a pumping station via a pressure pipe into a gravity sewer to the Klais site. Treatment is carried out in the existing Oberes Isartal wastewater treatment plant.

OBERMEYER provided the planning for the engineering structures and the technical equipment as well as local construction supervision.
