Markus Hochmuth is again member of the board of buildingSMART Germany
In May 2023, the position of Chairman of the Board at buildingSMART Germany was filled anew with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Cornelius Preidel. He now brought Markus Hochmuth, CEO of OBERMEYER Digital Solution, onto his board team.
The OBERMEYER Group is a founding member of buildingSMART e.V., which was established in 1995 as the “International Alliance for Interoperability” (IAI e.V.). buildingSMART Germany is the competence center for digital design, construction and operation of buildings. Its aim is to drive forward the digital transformation of the entire construction value chain. The essential task of the association is the further development and standardization of the open exchange of information in projects. To this end, buildingSMART provides open, vendor-neutral standards and solutions.
Markus Hochmuth studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Dresden and joined OBERMEYER in 2009. He has been CEO of OBERMEYER Digital Solution GmbH since 2021 and has been on the board of buildingSMART since 2015. There he additionally heads the Infrastructure workspace. Since 2023, he has also been one of the leaders of the BIM and GIS Integration specialist group at buildingSMART.
The new board team, chaired by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Cornelius Preidel, was recently officially confirmed by the executive committee. In addition to Markus Hochmuth, the other members are Eduard Dischke (Deputy Chairman of the Board), Dr. Kai Oberste-Ufer (Deputy Chairman of the Board), Klaus Teizer (Deputy Chairman of the Board), Dr.-Ing. Thomas Liebich, Prof. Dr.-Ing.
